Oct. 18--It doesn't take long for good news to spread in Pooler.
Less than two hours after Gov. Roy Barnes confirmed that a major employer was coming to Chatham County's westside, only one thing was on everyone's lips: DaimlerChrysler.
When the $750 million van plant rolls into town, so will an estimated 3,300 new job opportunities.
For Natessia Johnson, 19, that news brings hope for a brighter future.
"There's not near as many job opportunities out here," Johnson said.
Standing outside the Super Wal-Mart, where she works as a cashier, Johnson said she has considered moving to Atlanta or Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
