Lexington County, S.C., Reduces the Number of Mobile Homes Allowed in Park.

Nov. 28--A decision by Lexington County's zoning board to reduce the number of mobile homes in a once drug-infested community has some residents cheering and others feeling defeated.

Many residents in homes near the Hendrix Mobile Home Park near West Columbia were happy with a Nov. 19 decision that will eventually reduce the number of homes and will force the park's owner to build a privacy fence.

But some people who live in the mobile home park on Leaphart Road near Dubbs Avenue said the decision discriminates against low-income residents.
