HBOS Chief Is Brought in by Granada to Beef Up Board.

Nov. 27--Granada boss Charles Allen today bolstered his board with the appointment of HBOS chief executive James Crosby as a non-executive director, effectively replacing the modern-day Granada creator Gerry Robinson.
Television experts hailed the arrival of the outspoken financial services guru as a shrewd move by Allen in the run-up to the merger with ITV rival Carlton. Crosby emerged as the winner barely 18 months ago when Halifax merged with Bank of Scotland.
