Nov. 25--GREENBERG TRAURIG BEGINS EUROPEAN PUSH: The nationwide law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP has further expanded its reach by opening offices in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, and Zurich, Switzerland.
"Greenberg Traurig's European presence will provide the firm and our clients access to a whole new network of strategic relationships," said Cesar Alvarez, the firm's president and chief executive officer. Greenberg says it is the first U.S.-based law firm to enter the Netherlands.
The two new offices boast 18 lawyers combined, including 15 in Amsterdam. New York-based Greenberg hopes the Amsterdam office will grow to 50 lawyers within a year.
