Advance Auto Parts Reports Quarterly Sales, Profits Both Up.

Nov. 20--Advance Auto Parts reported increases in sales and income Tuesday for its third quarter, citing a smooth conversion of its newly purchase Discount Auto Parts stores in Florida to Advance Auto stores as a contributing factor. The company has completed the remerchandising of all the Florida stores.

"We're operating on all cylinders at Advance Auto Parts. We are achieving strong results and are building for the future," said Larry Castellani, chief executive officer, during a conference call with analysts.

The Roanoke-based company earned $28.4 million on $768.7 million in sales for the quarter ending Oct. 5, compared with $15.2 million on $598.8 million...
