North Carolina College Links with Top Textile Institute.

Nov. 14--RALEIGH, N.C.--The head of a major corporation based in Burlington is describing the planned merger of the prestigious Institute of Textile Technology at Charlottesville, Va., with the North Carolina State University College of Textiles in Raleigh as a boon for the fabric manufacturing industry.

"We are very pleased that the two institutions will be brought together in an alliance that will strengthen the competitiveness of the textile industry," said Allen Gant, chairman and president of Glen Raven Inc. and chairman of the Institute of Textile Technology (ITT).
