Kansas City, Mo.-Based Aquila Subsidiary Resolves Dispute with Energy Firm.

Nov. 5--Gas retailer `ACN Energy and an Aquila Inc. subsidiary have settled their contract dispute, which threatened to put ACN out of business.
The two companies announced the settlement in a brief joint statement issued Friday. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
"We're very pleased that we have reached an agreement with Aquila and will continue to work with them amicably and professionally through the end of this year when our contract expires," ACN Energy Chief Executive John Huffman said in the statement. "We also appreciate Aquila's co-operation as we transition from our current arrangement into a new one in 2003."
