Singapore Tourism Agency Targets Big Spenders.

Nov. 4--While concern is mounting over possible terrorist attacks in the region, Singapore is gearing up to attract visitors, particularly those attending conferences and exhibitions.
The Singapore Tourism Board, in collaboration with the private sector, is spending billions of dollars to develop new attractions ranging from promotions of old churches and ancient buildings to golf courses and museums, as well as its newly opened national performing arts centre, the Esplanade.
In particular, Singapore is targetting big-spending tourists, especially those in the segment known as Mice (Meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions).
