GE Transportation Systems Union Talks of Possible Strike.

Nov. 2--Representatives of GE Transportation Systems Inc.'s largest labor union could decide as soon as next week to head on strike to protest the company's practice of shipping local jobs to cheaper plants overseas.
Randy Majewski, president of the United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers Local 506, said Friday the union has grounds to hit the picket lines as a result of the loss of union jobs to foreign GE outposts.
The union has filed a series of grievances against GE Transportation Systems since late 2001 as a result of those practices.
