Father of Pilot Says Son Is Being Targeted for Blame in Fatal Crash.

Nov. 1--WASHINGTON -- The older gentleman sitting at the back of the hearing room has been listening intently every day as investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board, Airbus Industrie and American Airlines try to pinpoint what caused the crash of American Flight 587.

For former Capt. Stan Molin and his wife, Rhoda, there is double anguish in the proceedings. The couple's 34-year-old son, First Officer Sten Molin, was at the controls of the Airbus A300 when it hit wake turbulence from a Boeing 747 and its tail snapped off, sending all 260 people on board to their deaths and killing five people on the ground in the borough of Queens, New York....
