Thai Coffee Shop Chain to List on Alternative Investment Market.

Nov. 12--Plantation and Farm Design (Thailand), operator of the Baan Rai Cafe coffee chain, has announced plans to list on the Market for Alternative Investment next year.

Chief executive Saichon Payaonoi said the company was seeking to raise around 50 million baht to launch its new Bork Baan Rai coffee brand. It hopes to market the new coffee locally and in Vietnam, Taiwan and the United States.

Baan Rai Cafe was formed in 1997 with just 150,000 baht, establishing an outlet at a Jet petrol station in order to draw motorists driving along provincial highways.
