New University of Missouri Boss May Come from Michigan.

Nov. 7--The next president of the University of Missouri system could be Elson S. Floyd, president of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, according to reports circulating in Missouri and Michigan.
Floyd on Wednesday refused phone calls and stood behind a prepared statement:
"The University of Missouri is a world-class university, and I felt privileged that its curators sought me out for a conversation. This is a significant tribute to our work at Western Michigan University.
I continue to enjoy my presidency at WMU."
