Former Netscape Executive Marc Andreessen Discusses Tech Innovation.

Nov. 11--Marc Andreessen, 31, cofounded Opsware Inc. (formerly Loudcloud), an automation software company based in Sunnyvale, Calif., in 1999. As a University of Illinois undergraduate in the early 1990s, he created the first prototype of the Mosaic browser that spurred the growth of the World Wide Web. He joined with Silicon Valley entrepreneur Jim Clark to launch Netscape Communications in 1994 and, after its 1999 sale to America Online Inc., worked as AOL's chief technology officer before starting Loudcloud. Andreessen spoke with Globe technology editor Robert Weisman on a visit to Boston last Friday.
