Controversy Erupts at Rhode Island Presentation on Genetically Modified Foods.

Nov. 9--SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I.--From the outset of his colorfully illustrated presentation on the merits of genetically modified foods, Prof. Albert Kausch said that the issue generates a lot of controversy. No sooner had he finished his presentation, when proof of his words erupted from the audience.

"I'm disappointed to see the University of Rhode Island had only one perspective on this," announced Linda Setchell of Clean Water Action, an environmental advocacy group. "I have a lot of problems with what he said."
