Auto Components Maker to Lay Off 87 Employees at Carlisle, Pa., Plant.

Nov. 6--Lear Corp. will lay off 87 employees, or nearly 10 percent of the work force, at its Carlisle plant later this month, state employment officials said Tuesday.
The Southfield, Mich.-based maker of auto components informed the state Department of Labor and Industry about the layoffs, which will take place this month, said Marcia Myers, program manager for dislocated workers at the Southcentral Employment Corp. in Harrisburg.
A Department of Labor and Industry spokesperson referred calls to the company.
