Dec. 4--DON'T LET HOLIDAYS POSTPONE JOB HUNT: Most people looking for a new job rarely push the envelope during the holidays. Conventional thinking says it's no use. Companies that do the hiring don't make personnel decisions in December.
This may be a fallacy, say counselors at Dawson & Dawson, a Houston-based job consulting firm. Job-seekers can use these next few weeks well, and maybe those efforts can even lead to a new job to start 2003.
