Raleigh, N.C.-Area Janitorial-Services Firm Toppled by IRS Lien.

Dec. 4--RALEIGH, N.C.--Carolina Maintenance Co., a Triangle business founded by the late NCSU basketball great Ronnie Shavlik, has been toppled by a $4.7 million lien filed by the Internal Revenue Service for unpaid employee withholding taxes.

The 45-year-old company, which cleaned some of the Triangle's largest office buildings and once employed 1,200 people throughout the Carolinas, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July and now faces liquidation.
