Dec. 6--Holiday Kamper and Boats of Columbia will become part of an Illinois-based chain of RV stores next month, executives said Thursday.
Holiday RV Superstores Inc. will pay an undisclosed amount to acquire Holiday Kamper, which has 80 employees and five stores in the Carolinas, including a location off I-26 northwest of Columbia.
The acquisition is part of Holiday RV's goal to boost southeastern sales, and benefit from Holiday Kamper's long experience.
Holiday Kamper opened in 1969, and has sales of about $50 million a year. It is an exclusive dealer of Fleetwood motor homes and travel trailers, and of Bass Tracker boats.
