Illinois Sues on Diet Product.

Dec. 6--ILLINOIS--A Texas weight-loss company that claims its product helps users burn fat while they sleep was sued Thursday by state and federal agencies for making false and unsubstantiated claims.
Illinois Atty. Gen. Jim Ryan charged Mark Nutritionals Inc. of San Antonio and two of its officers with violating the state's Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. The Federal Trade Commission and the Texas attorney general's office filed similar lawsuits against the company.
Radio disc jockeys from 650 stations in 110 cities pitch Mark Nutritionals' Body Solutions Evening Weight Loss Formula, according to the FTC.
