Regulators Launch Probe into Nashua, N.H.-Based Water Company.

Dec. 17--NASHUA, N.H.--The Secretary of State's Bureau of Securities Regulations has launched an investigation into Pennichuck Corp.
State Director of Securities Regulations Mark Connolly would not reveal the exact nature of the investigation or what prompted the state to undertake its review, but on Monday he said the state will likely decide sometime in early January whether to drop its inquiry or proceed further. "So far the company has been cooperative," he said.
Connolly did not reveal whether the state's inquiries have anything to do with the proposed $95 million stock for stock acquisition of Pennichuck Corp. by Philadelphia Suburban Corp., but he...
