Liquidation of Janitorial Supply Firm Is Approved in North Carolina.

Dec. 19--RALEIGH, N.C.--A federal bankruptcy judge on Wednesday approved the liquidation of Southeastern Janitorial Supply, sealing the end of the second business founded by the late N.C. State University basketball great Ronnie Shavlik.

After a hearing that lasted less than a minute, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge A. Thomas Small agreed to convert Southeastern's bankruptcy from Chapter 11 to Chapter 7, which will force the company's assets to be sold to pay debts. A larger sister company founded by Shavlik, Carolina Maintenance Co., was converted to Chapter 7 in September and also faces liquidation.
