Records Indicate Dollar General Didn't Request Security Check on Employee.

Dec. 22--DELTONA, Fla.--State records show that neither Dollar General Stores Inc. nor the firm it uses to conduct background searches checked the criminal history of Roy Lee McDuffie, who was arrested Tuesday and charged with shooting and knifing to death two women he worked with at the Deltona discount store.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, which keeps track of who requests criminal background checks on individuals, processed several such requests for McDuffie this week after his arrest by Volusia County sheriff's investigators.
