Sun Sets for Sunshine Network on Time Warner Cable System.

Jan. 1--The Sunshine Network will be pulled from the Time Warner Cable system today, barring a last-minute breakthrough in talks between the two companies.

The cable company and the sports network have been haggling for weeks over the price for a new contract that would replace the existing 10-year agreement.

The contract was to expire at midnight Tuesday.

Time Warner, which has 710,000 subscribers in Central Florida, said it would substitute the ESPNews sports program for its basic-plus-standard customers if Sunshine goes off the air.
