Sporting Goods Trade Show Comes to Orange County, Fla., Convention Center.

Jan. 9--The Orange County Convention Center has snagged the largest trade show in the history of Orlando -- the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association, which will bring 70,000 people who could give the area a more than $80 million economic boost.

The meeting, also known as the "Super Show," will begin a three-year run in Orlando starting next year. It will eclipse the show that has long been Orlando's largest, the 53,000-delegate Professional Golfers' Association Merchandise Show.

"It's the biggest event we have ever hosted," Tom Ackert, the convention center's executive director, said Wednesday of the Super Show.
