Thai Insurers Say Online Systems Will Assist Growth.

Jan. 20--Viriyah Insurance, the country's largest auto insurer, and Muang Thai Insurance Co have separately projected premium growth of more than 10 percent this year, due mainly to modernised systems for processing claims.
Growth in vehicle sales is projected to lift Viriyah Insurance Co's premium income this year by 910 million baht or 13 percent from seven billion baht last year, said Krittivit Sriphasutha, the company's deputy managing director.
Auto sales in Thailand last year rose by 37 percent from the year before to about 410,000 units and are expected to post 10 percent growth this year.
