New Director Strives to Make Paducah, Ky., Art Center More Welcoming to Public.

Jan. 20--A little more than a week into her job as executive director of the Yeiser Art Center, Robin Taffler is ticking off her to-do list.
From a small office shared with administrative assistant Judy Brooks, Taffler is developing long-range and short-term plans, enhancing programming, devising educational initiatives and sorting through the permanent collection. She also hopes to expand the gift shop and make physical enhancements to the gallery.
All of that is on top of the day-to-day running of the 45-year-old arts organization. She is not worred about adjusting from being director of the Murray Main Street development group to running an art...
