Bellevue, Wash., Software Firm Gets Important Boost from Microsoft.

Jan. 23--Click2learn saw its stock jump yesterday following the announcement that Microsoft planned to increase its use of the Bellevue company's employee training and productivity software.

Microsoft, already Click2learn's largest customer, had been using the software to train its 15,000 sales people. Now, more than 113,000 employees, partners and others connected with the Redmond software giant will be trained on it.

"It started with their sales force three years ago... and we've been able to branch it into an enterprise-wide initiative," Click2learn Chairman and Chief Executive Kevin Oakes said yesterday.
