Home Depot Store Opens in Clermont, Fla.

Jan. 23--CLERMONT, Fla.--King's Ridge residents Dick and Pat Crittenden have been traveling 30 minutes to Orlando to buy things such as closet shelves and kitchen fixtures since moving into their new home more than a year ago.
But the retirees now only have a five-minute drive to the local Home Depot, which opens today on State Road 50, for their home-improvement needs.
"We [subdivision neighbors] all talked about its opening this morning over coffee," Pat Crittenden said Wednesday as the couple tried to get a sneak peek at the store. "We're happy it's finally here but wish it had been around when we first moved in."
