Jan. 24--JUMBO RAKES UP A RECORD: The Cresta Run at St Moritz is in full swing and among the many City men heading there this weekend is David "Jumbo" Royds, keen sportsman and head of Matrix Securities. Royds loves to talk about his adventures on the dangerous toboggan run and is known by his friends as Speedy Gonzales, which tends to impress casual acquaintances. However, I can reveal that the moniker is ironic, for on his first run, Jumbo raked so hard (the boots are armed with rakes to regulate speed) that he scored the slowest descent recorded. He even beat the wimpish attempt by previous title holder Erroll Flynn, whose descent, it was said, was impeded by the presence of a third rake....
