Senior Living Firm with Two Appleton, Wis.-Area Facilities Files Bankruptcy.

Jan. 24--Alterra Healthcare Corp., which operates two assisted living facilities in the Fox Cities, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Wednesday.

Normal day-to-day operations of the facilities will not be affected, company officials said. In addition, staff will not be cut.

The Wauwatosa-based company operates Alterra Wynwood of Appleton, an assisted living facility at 5800 Pennsylvania Ave. in Grand Chute, and Alterra Sterling House of Neenah at 2330 Bruce St.

In addition, the corporation owns senior living buildings in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac.
