Jan. 28--Dallas' International Apparel Mart is set to close next year, and many of its vendors are expected to move into the nearby World Trade Center.
The move will leave 1.8 million square feet of empty space at the Apparel Mart and is the result of a long-term shift in the way stores buy merchandise that has hurt trade marts across the nation.
Both buildings are part of Dallas Market Center, a row of trade marts along Stemmons Freeway owned by Dallas-based Crow Holdings.
