Norfolk, Va., Youth Program Officials Oppose Proposed Light-Rail Station.

Jan. 28--NORFOLK, Va.--Some opposition has surfaced to a proposed light rail starter line in Norfolk as transit officials seek reaction to newly released details of the project.

Officials of The Barry Robinson Center, a program for disabled and emotionally troubled youths, said in an interview Monday that a proposed station on their property would effectively shut down the center because of the safety risks it would pose.

The concerns are that youths could get hurt by moving trains or could board trains and leave the center without permission.
