Group Fights Washington State Bill to Legalize Utility's Appliance-Repair Unit.

Jan. 29--OLYMPIA, Wash.--A small business group will oppose bills that would legalize Clark Public Utilities' appliance-repair business and settle an ongoing court battle.
"It's pretty cut and dried," said Mark Johnson, assistant state director of the National Federation of Independent Businesses, which opposes the bills. "If I were a small-business owner trying to compete with a PUD, I would have a hard time trying to find something to like about it."
