Del Norte, Colo., Astronaut Pays Tribute to Fallen Columbia Crew.

Feb. 5--Del Norte astronaut Kent Rominger joined President Bush and other dignitaries Tuesday in addressing a special memorial service at the Johnson Space Center in Houston for the seven astronauts of the space shuttle Columbia.

Rominger, a Navy captain who is chief of the astronaut office at the Johnson Space Center, offered a series of anecdotes about all seven astronauts.

Rominger recalled the shuttle crew's high-spirited antics at the last NASA holiday party, when they slapped temporary tattoos with the mission's identifying designation -- STS-107 -- on anyone who came near their table. He said he was branded with an STS-107 tattoo "square in the...
