Thai Electronics Institute Launches E-Procurement System.

Feb. 6--About 2,000 entrepreneurs in the electrical, electronic and parts businesses are expected to join an e-procurement system developed by the Electrical and Electronics Institute in its first year of operation.

Pakdee Ratanawichien, president of the institute, said the Industry Ministry had allocated a budget of 50 million baht to set up the e-procurement system in line with the ministry's industrial restructuring programme.

Thirty business operators applied to use the system during trial operations over the past two months.
