ABC Stands to Pull in Upward of $10 Million from Michael Jackson Interview.

Feb. 6--ABC may have spent $5 million to get a 90-minute interview with Michael Jackson, but it stands to pull in upward of $10 million from the show.

Advertisers have paid more than $250,000 for each of the 30-second spots during the show, according to sources.

The network sold out all ad time in the special.

Typically, a two-hour telecast will have about 20 minutes of network advertising, meaning ABC peddled 40 such spots to clients who were not completely sure what the show contained.

Still, advertisers bought in for good reason.
