Feb. 7--WILLIAMSBURG, VA.--Joe Plumeri, chairman and chief executive officer of Willis Group Holdings Ltd., a London-based global insurance broker, has been awarded the T.C. and Elizabeth School of Business Medallion by the College of William and Mary, officials announced Thursday.
A 1966 graduate of William and Mary, he is a member of the college's Board of Visitors.
Established in 1975, the award is the highest honor given by faculty of the business school. According to a press release issued Thursday, it recognizes "an individual whose distinguished career in management represents the highest standards of professionalism and integrity."
