San Antonio-Based Online Bill Payment Service Gone from Nasdaq.

Feb. 7--Billserv Inc., a San Antonio-based online bill payment service, has been delisted from the Nasdaq stock exchange because its shares have traded below $1 since July.

It did not come as a surprise. The struggling company announced in November that Nasdaq put it on notice, and it apparently was unable to convince the exchange's listing qualifications panel to give it another chance.

Billserv, now traded over the counter at the OTC Bulletin Board, won't change its strategy because of the delisting, CEO Michael Long said.

"We will continue to purse internal and external strategic alternatives," he said in a statement.
