Point Blank Body Armor Eyes Second plant.

Feb. 7--Oakland Park-based Point Blank Body Armor has selected a Deerfield Beach facility for a second plant to handle demand from the military and law enforcement for the protective vests it produces.

The building, which has about 51,000 square feet available, formerly served as a national repair and training facility for Sensormatic Electronics, a maker of electronic anti-theft systems now owned by Tyco International.

Stuart Newman, an Atlanta labor lawyer representing Point Blank, didn't have any details on the new Deerfield Beach operation but said it will open "soon." BellSouth information gives the address for a Point Blank listing in Deerfield as 600 SW 12th...
