Independent Board to Take Over Shuttle Disaster Investigation from NASA.

Feb. 10--HOUSTON--NASA engineers moved to the sidelines Saturday, making way for the independent board that is charged with ultimately determining what brought down the space shuttle Columbia.

After a day at home to pack their belongings, the eight members of the investigative board are scheduled to return Sunday evening to Houston, where they will resume their work at the Johnson Space Center.

NASA on Saturday did not release any more information about what could be a key piece in the investigation u a 26-inch-long chunk of Columbia's wing. Officials would not disclose where in the Fort Worth area it had been found, only that it had been taken to the former...
