Lake County, Fla., May Seek New Bus-Service Provider for Disabled, Elderly.

Feb. 9--TAVARES, Fla. -- After 20 years, Lake County may drop LifeStream Behavioral Center as its bus-service provider for mostly poor, disabled or elderly people.
The County Commission on Tuesday will discuss whether to begin contract negotiations with MV Transportation, a California company with 135 contracts including one with Lynx in Orlando.
LifeStream, a nonprofit mental health agency with a transportation arm, Lake County Transit and MV submitted the only proposals for the job.
A committee unanimously recommended MV after interviews. Members cited the company's emphasis on customer service, training, performance and resources.
