Las Vegas Tourism Board Approves Pay Raises for Top Executives.

Feb. 12--The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority board approved pay raises for its two highest-ranking officials Tuesday.
The 13-member panel voted 11-1 with one abstention in favor of awarding authority President and Chief Executive Officer Manny Cortez and Executive Vice President Rossi Ralenkotter salary increases of 5.4 percent and 8 percent, respectively.
Cortez's 2003 base salary improved to $234,000. Now in his 12th year with the authority, Cortez was paid about $221,957 last year.
Ralenkotter's annual salary increased to $196,913; the 29-year authority employee earned about $182,333 last year.
