Continental Express Order Cut.

Feb. 13--In yet another indication of the airline industry's sorry state, the delivery of new jets for Continental Airlines' regional service was scaled back Wednesday.
The number of jets scheduled for 2003 delivery was cut by 25 percent, from 48 to 36.
The carrier said the changes were being made as a result of continuing weakness and uncertainty in the air travel market.
The announcement of the cutbacks was made by Continental, ExpressJet and Embraer, the maker of the aircraft.
Wednesday's action comes at the same time other major U.S. carriers are taking steps to cut costs, primarily by initiating talks with labor unions about lowering...
