Wisconsin Program to Help Manufacturers Gets Funding Boost in Federal Budget.

Feb. 15--The federal budget that passed in Congress late Thursday night included $2.5 million in funding to help make Wisconsin manufacturers more competitive.

The funding for the fiscal year that started in October represents just less than one-third of the $7.8 million budget for the Madison-based Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership. The program, which receives much of its funding from companies that pay for its services, assisted 557 manufacturers in the state last year.
