Feb. 16--WATERLOO, Iowa--John Rath. Rube Rath. A.D. Donnell. Harry Slife. Emmet McGuire. Lyle Taylor.
They were just some of the occupants of the classy-looking walnut-walled corner office of the old building at Sycamore and Division streets.
Their business --- once the city's largest employer, one of the eight largest meatpackers in the world --- is gone.
But the office --- the office of the president of The Rath Packing Co. --- will live on.
A local office interiors company, Techline Studios, is salvaging the old Rath's president's office for potential reconstruction at another location for any interested client.
