Teen Gets Highest-Ever New York City Settlement for Fractured Leg, Lawyer Says.

Feb. 20--A 17-year-old Brooklyn youth mowed down by a reckless driver will receive a record $1 million settlement for a broken leg.
"This is the highest settlement award in the history of New York City for a fractured leg," said lawyer Sanford Rubenstein, who represented Anthony Abbate of Midwood.
"The trauma he suffered was not only to his leg, but also witnessing an accident in which two young girls were killed," Rubenstein added.
