BNC Bancorp Sees Fourth-Quarter Net Income Rise by $205,000.

Feb. 25--Significant growth in noninterest income, particularly mortgage-loan fees and service charges, enabled BNC Bancorp to post a $205,000 increase in net income for the fourth quarter.
BNC Bancorp is the holding company for Bank of North Carolina, based in Thomasville.
The bank reported yesterday having $793,000 in net income for the quarter.
Diluted earnings a share rose 3 cents compared to fourth-quarter 2001 to 23 cents.
Noninterest income increased 67 percent in the quarter to $666,000, while net interest income increased 34 percent to nearly $2.9 million. The bank also reported a $15,000 drop in loan losses in the quarter to...
