Sexism Charge Could Be Pricey for South African Investment Bank.

Feb. 26--Investec is being hauled back to court this March over allegations of sexism by one of its former leading analysts that could cost the South African-owned investment bank more than UKpound 1 million in back payments.

Media analyst Louise Barton, 52, lost her case last September against Investec Henderson Crosthwaite Securities, the bank's UK broking arm, for sex discrimination over her pay awards. She appealed, with the financial backing of the Equal Opportunities Commission, but no hearing was expected for at least a year.
