Mar. 1--RALEIGH, N.C.-- An employee at the jewelry counter in Lord & Taylor at Crabtree Valley Mall was arrested Friday and charged with stealing nearly a half-million dollars' worth of jewelry.
Hassan Abdisalam Hassan, 30, of Raleigh, had been entrusted to receive the merchandise, worth $495,667, on Jan. 15 but pocketed the items instead, police charge.
