Former SeaWorld Executive Turns Down Offer to Head Florida Tourism Agency.

Mar. 5--Bill Davis, a former SeaWorld and Busch Entertainment executive chosen last month to run Florida's tourism-marketing agency, has turned down the offer.
"Unfortuately, for personal reasons, I must withdraw my name from consideration," Davis said in a Feb. 26 e-mail to Visit Florida Chairman Peter Guptill. Visit Florida released Davis' e-mail Tuesday in response to a request by the Orlando Sentinel.
Davis, 56, who lives in Celebration, couldn't be reached for comment on Tuesday. His hiring was pending approval by Visit Florida's board of directors on March 13.
